Cuppa Concerts: Presents

We are thrilled to introduce Cuppa Concerts: Presents, a new concert series that brings live music to care settings in a safe and socially-distanced way.

We know that care settings, including residential homes, day centres, dementia cafes, hospices, and lunch clubs have extremely limited budgets, and affordability is one of the biggest barriers to hosting performances by professional musicians.  We also know that engaging with live music brings a multitude of benefits to older audiences, helping to improve wellbeing, offering shared experiences, and bringing forward memories and reminiscences that can be shared with friends, family, and staff.

Cuppa Concerts: Presents takes a unique approach to concert delivery, which we believe addresses some of the barriers faced by care settings in accessing high quality musical experiences for older people. This programme offers care settings pre-recorded performances by a CBSO mini-orchestra, playing a programme which has been specially designed by CBSO musicians for older people, and which will be presented live in care venues by just one musician. This individual musician will attend care settings to present the concert, provide live music performances, support interactive elements within the concert, and of course be happy to answer questions and chat to audience members about the music, their instrument, or anything else!

Through this fantastic concert series, we can continue to offer high-quality concerts performed by professional musicians, for the affordable rate of just £50 per visit.

Due to musician availability we are only able to offer this programme to venues in and around Birmingham in the first instance. If you are outside this region, please take a look at our Cuppa Concerts: At Home series which is available for venues anywhere in the UK.

If you would like to book a Cuppa Concerts: Presents performance at your venue, please email Adele on education@cbso.co.uk or call on 0121 616 6530.
