CBSO musicians have a wealth of skills and talents that they can use to support secondary school music teachers in developing their ensembles and instrumentalists.
From coaching sessions for specific instruments, to string, brass, wind or percussion sectionals we are able to provide musicians with the appropriate skill set to lead these activities, inspire pupils and help them to reach their full potential as musicians and performers.
We are also able to provide masterclasses for talented young musicians, led by CBSO players. These sessions offer individual musicians an incredible opportunity to receive tuition from some of the world’s best musicians, helping them to prepare pieces for their GCSE or A Level performances or Associated Board exams.
In addition to our orchestra, the CBSO also has an unparalleled family of choruses who are expertly led by our vocal staff. As with our instrumentalists, we have a choral leaders who can support a range of different types of choral ensemble, whether providing specific coaching on repertoire being prepared for performance or a competition, leading sectional rehearsals, or supporting emerging choral leaders in school to assist their development as choral conductors.
Costs for a CBSO musician or choral leader to provide coaching, mentoring or masterclasses start at £175 for a 3 hour session. For more information about what we can offer, or to discuss your specific requirements please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and a member of our Learning & Participation team will be happy to help.
