“I love the world!” proclaimed David Fanshawe: composer, explorer, and creator of African Sanctus: the genre-busting masterpiece that fused western choral music with the musical traditions of East Africa. It’s a shout of joy - a song of friendship, inclusion, and the life-affirming power of music – so what better way to showcase the talents of our fabulous CBSO Children’s Chorus, our community choir SO Vocal, and Birmingham’s electrifying Keneish Dance? But first, a range of incredible community choirs set the tone with a selection of songs!
The CBSO's youth ensembles are generously supported by the Clive & Sylvia Richards Charity, Helen Rachael Mackaness Charitable Trust and The Leverhulme Trust, with additional support from the Andor Charitable Trust, Angus Allnatt Charitable Foundation, The Millichope Foundation and The Irving Memorial Trust.
For events sold by THSH Box Office, the THSH per-ticket commission of £3 (£2.50 for online bookings) is included in the price of every individual ticket priced over £13. Tickets purchased as part of a CBSO Concert Package are exempt. For full details see cbso.co.uk/terms.
