- Bartók Piano Concerto No. 3, 25′
- Bruckner Symphony No. 6, 54′
A mountain peak, a cathedral in sound... Anton Bruckner’s Sixth Symphony has been compared to many things. But what matters tonight is that it contains music beautiful enough to pierce the very soul, and Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla is devoted to it. And that in the hands of the phenomenal Piotr Anderszewski, Bartók’s explosive Third Piano Concerto should bring the house down.
CBSO+ 6pm: Join Royal Birmingham Conservatoire musicians for a special piano showcase of Dvořák's Piano Quintet before tonight’s concert.
Please note the pre-concert talk will now start at 6pm, 15 minutes earlier than previously advertised, due to the Making an Entrance redevelopments.
