Johannes Brahms wasn’t always an old master with a big beard. He poured all his youthful heartbreak into his mighty Piano Quintet, and the result is a masterwork as big and as powerful as any symphony: music of raw emotion and epic strength. With four CBSO players joined by Royal Birmingham Conservatoire’s Professor John Thwaites, it won’t just ignite: it’ll positively blaze. 

Performance durations vary, but are usually less than 1 hour.
A selection of delicious cakes and hot drinks will be available to buy up to an hour before the performances.
