Bruckners Seventh.

Programme

  • Mozart Piano Concerto No. 21, K.46729′
  • Bruckner Symphony No.768′

In the twilight the air shimmers, and a wordless song climbs serenely towards heaven. Bruckner heard the beginning of his Seventh Symphony in a dream, played by an angel. And like the famous slow movement of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 21, it certainly sounds divine! Omer Meir Wellber made a big impression last time he was here – and we think Yeol Eum Son will make an equally stunning Birmingham debut.

CBSO+ 6.15pm: Broadcaster and author Stephen Johnson talks about Brucknerʼs deeply-felt Seventh Symphony.
