A day exploring and celebrating good practice in inclusive music activities being delivered by professional musicians, predominantly those from the Western Classical tradition, with, for and by people living with disabilities.
Throughout the day there will be inspirational presentations and discussions from some of the innovative organisations in this field, including the CBSO, Live Music Now, Orchestras Live and Mac Makes Music. Presentations will explore the outcomes, challenges and benefits of different approaches for participants, musicians and organisations, and there will be a facilitated forum for musicians to share their own experiences working within SEND settings.
Our Keynote speaker will be clarinettist and composer Lloyd Coleman, joined in conversation with Orchestras Live’s Stuart Bruce, and Matt Griffiths, CEO of Youth Music will provide the closing comments.
