Mstislav Rostropovich described the cello as a ‘hero’ because of the wide variety of tones and effects the instrument could produce. Our cello section is certainly putting it to the test! From Dvořák to Warlock and Piazzola to Shostakovich, this performance offers musical gems for all tastes.
