Immerse yourself in the sonorous world of four double basses. Boguslaw Furtok’s second quartet, which draws on influences ranging from Mahler and Shostakovich to the cinematic sweep of John Williams, is followed by Colin Brumby’s exploration of the visceral nature of the instrument – embracing the dark, the light, and everything in between.
Performance durations vary, but are usually less than 1 hour.
A selection of delicious cakes and hot drinks will be available to buy up to an hour before the performances.
