  • Josef Suk Elegie
  • Dvořák Piano Quintet No. 2 in A, Op. 81

“I compose only for my own pleasure,” said Antonín Dvořák – and in his Piano Quintet, he had the time of his life: pouring out an endless stream of his most glorious melodies in music of headlong energy, exuberant humour and deep, sweet tenderness. It’s one of the grandest and happiest experiences in all chamber music: pure musical sunshine, in fact. Come and bask in it!

Please note that the first part of the programme for this concert has been changed from the originally advertised Arvo Pärt piece to Josef Suk's Elegie. We apologise for any disappointment caused.
