- Dvořák String Sextet in A Major and a new work (CBSO Centenary Commission, World Premiere)
Written in a two-week period in May 1878, Dvořák’s String Sextet is full of spontaneous invention in the manner of Schubert, with themes that have been described as ‘flowing with Slavonic blood’. In this Centre Stage concert, it’s paired with a brand new CBSO Centenary Commission.
Performance durations vary, but are usually less than 1 hour.
A selection of delicious cakes and hot drinks will be available to buy up to an hour before the performances.
