inc. per ticket commission
- Mendelssohn A Midsummer Night’s Dream: Overture, 11′
- Berlioz Les Nuits d’été, 32′
- Mendelssohn Songs Without Words, 10′
- Mendelssohn Symphony No. 3 (Scottish), 37′
Mendelssohn himself conducted in Birmingham Town Hall, but he loved Scotland too, and his Third Symphony evokes wild landscapes, skirling pipes and Highland reels – a delightful return visit for the fabulous François Leleux. He brought the house down last season, and with the outstanding young mezzo Hanna Hipp singing Berlioz’s gorgeous love songs, we wouldn’t bet against it this time, either.
For events sold by THSH Box Office, the THSH per-ticket commission of £3 (£2.50 for online bookings) is included in the price of every individual ticket priced over £13. Tickets purchased as part of a CBSO Concert Package are exempt. For full details see cbso.co.uk/terms.
