Summer starts here! This concert of delightful, summery sounds is guaranteed to set spirits soaring and lift even the heaviest of hearts. Featuring much-loved, timeless classics by Vivaldi, Rossini, Vaughan Williams, Tchaikovsky and more, this is, literally, music to your ears.

Your safety at the CBSO's concerts
We care deeply about our customers, and that's why the CBSO is working closely with Symphony Hall to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable experience. You can read about all the new measures in place to help keep you safe on the Symphony Hall's wesbite by clicking here.

Staggered entry times
Following feedback from audience members we have worked with our colleagues at Symphony Hall to update the staggered entry times for our forthcoming concerts. This means that customers can now arrive slightly later than previously requested as below:

If you are sat in the Stalls or Grand Tier, you can now arrive just 30 minutes before the performance.
If you are sat in the Upper Circle or Circle, you can now arrive just 20 minutes before the performance.

If you would like to arrive earlier, that’s absolutely fine and the doors to all levels of the auditorium will open 60 minutes before the concert starts.

Please note that if you booked your tickets before 24.05.21, then your ticket and confirmation email will carry the previously required arrival times. Please be assured that these no longer apply and you can now arrive slightly later as detailed above. Thank you.

Keeping you entertained pre-concert
Due to the staggered entry times, we are aware that some customers will be sitting in the auditorium for longer than usual before the concert begins. You therefore might like to know that we are planning to keep you entertained by installing a large, cinema-style screen above the back of the stage, in front of the choir stalls. So as you sit waiting for the concert to begin, we will be showing a selection of clips from recent recordings, interviews with our players and forthcoming highlights. The films will stop once the concert begins and the screen won’t obscure your view of the stage in any way.

Tickets for students
There are £9 tickets available for students for all performances. Please note that these are limited to one per person, subject to availability and you must bring proof of being a student with you to the performance. To purchase a student ticket, please select a seat as normal and then enter 'Student' into the promo code box in the online checkout to receive the discount.

On sale information
We’re delighted to have live performances on sale and can’t wait to welcome audiences back to Symphony Hall.

Tickets can be booked online or by phone. Box office phone lines (0121 780 3333) are now open Monday-Saturday from 10am – 2pm. Phone lines are likely to be very busy initially, but please be assured that the box office will be answering calls as quickly as they can. Counter sales are currently unavailable.

A new acoustic screen has been installed at the rear of the Symphony Hall stage, allowing a larger number of musicians to sit on the flat stage and play together while maintaining social distancing than has previously been possible.  The view of the back of the stage from the Stalls will be slightly affected as a result: but it does mean that CBSO audiences will see and hear what we believe is the largest orchestra performing regularly anywhere in the UK at this time.

Government Restrictions: please note, this concert is being planned according to the latest Government guidelines and roadmap. Should the concert be unable to go ahead as live and is instead filmed, your ticket will be valid to watch the concert online. Refunds will also be available on request.
