When two artists just click, you can almost hear the chemistry. Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla and Gidon Kremer unite in joint celebration of the extraordinary, neglected music of Mieczysław Weinberg. And then they turn to another shared passion: Schubert, whose Polonaise for violin and orchestra is a real forgotten gem – and whose “Unfinished” symphony couldn’t have been more perfect even if he had finished it!
CBSO+ 5.45pm: CBSO Chief Executive Stephen Maddock OBE discusses tonight’s performance with Osborn Music Director Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla.
For events sold by THSH Box Office, the THSH per-ticket commission of £3 (£2.50 for online bookings) is included in the price of every individual ticket priced over £13. Tickets purchased as part of a CBSO Concert Package are exempt. For full details see cbso.co.uk/terms.
