Not every oboist is described as “larger than life” – but then not every oboist, like François Leleux, is also a brilliantly charismatic conductor! We’ll get to hear his fabulous playing in music by Haydn and Debussy, and savour his wit and warmth in Brahms’s Haydn Variations and Bizet’s sunlit Symphony in C as well as a new version of Debussy’s Saxophone Rhapsody. In Town Hall Birmingham, it’ll feel close enough to touch.
For events sold by THSH Box Office, the THSH per-ticket commission of £3 (£2.50 for online bookings) is included in the price of every individual ticket priced over £13. Tickets purchased as part of a CBSO Concert Package are exempt. For full details see cbso.co.uk/terms.
