Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring revolutionised classical music – and we’re still dealing with the shockwaves today. Guest conductor Nicholas Collon brings his own special kind of voltage – and conducts two colossal choruses in the latest CBSO Centenary Commission: a grand, teeming celebration of nature, “an opportunity to marvel at what has been, what is and what may well be lost”.
