Kazuki Yamada conducts the CBSO.

  • Glinka  Ruslan & Ludmila: Overture
  • Smyth Concerto for Violin and Horn
  • Rachmaninoff Symphony No. 2

True romance: with its epic sweep and soaring melodies, Rachmaninoff’s Second Symphony is one of Kazuki Yamada’s personal favourites, but there’s a whole world of buried passion in the beautiful Double Concerto by Dame Ethel Smyth, too. With soloists Ben Goldscheider and Elena Urioste, expect big emotions and even bigger tunes – plus Glinka’s firecracker overture, to light the fuse.
