- Mozart Concerto for Two Pianos in E flat major, K. 365, 26′
- Brahms Serenade No. 1, 40′
Think of a serenade and you think of summer – warm nights, romantic melodies and relaxation. And it’s true: you can almost feel the sunshine in Brahms’s lovely First Serenade, surely the happiest symphony he never wrote. Alongside Beethoven’s stirring overture and the elegance and wit of Mozart’s exuberant Double Piano Concerto, it’s a foretaste of summer on a February afternoon.
