Woodwind.

Programme

  • Pärt Fratres
  • Mozart Wind Serenade in C minor, K.388

In the 18th century, Wind Serenades were supposed to be relaxing. But Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart made his own rules and his C minor Serenade is one of his most impassioned masterpieces: dark, dramatic, and filled with glorious Mozart melodies. It’s also a magnificent showcase for eight of our superb woodwind players – with Arvo Pärt’s Fratres as a wonderfully atmospheric upbeat.
