A musical magic spell, a dramatic violin concerto and a summery symphony to bring warmth and joy to a November day.
A quiet hymn, a flurry of birdsong, and Dvořák's Eighth Symphony springs into life. Filled with dance-rhythms, drama, and tune after glorious tune, this is music to bring a touch of Summer to a Winter's day. In the first half, we move from the childlike wonder of Dukas’ The Sorcerer’s Apprentice – a musical magic spell which will capture your imagination – to the pure drama of Prokofiev’s Second Violin Concerto. You’re going to need to hold on to your seats for this completely thrilling concert!
