“Oh you millions, I embrace you” – and when Sir Simon Rattle conducts Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, it’s impossible not to sit up and listen. 25 years ago, here in Birmingham, Sir Simon and his colleague Simon Halsey founded the CBSO Youth and Children’s Choruses, and they take centre stage in the first half of tonight’s celebratory concert. All the guest artists are performing for free – with the proceeds going to the CBSO’s artistic projects and education work.

Special discounts policy applies, please check when booking. This concert cannot be bought as part of a CBSO Concert Package.
