An evening with Rushil Ranjan

Critically acclaimed composer Rushil Ranjan premieres a brand new commission.
Written to celebrate the musical and spiritual connections between western and eastern classical music as well as the CBSO’s long history of championing South Asian artistry, the piece will be performed by the full forces of the orchestra, celebrated Sufi vocalist Abi Sampa and a classical dancer.
The evening will also feature repertoire from Ranjan’s influences and inspirations including from some of the most celebrated and seminal South Asian and British Asian composers.
