Job description

The world-renowned City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra is seeking a Children’s & Youth Chorus Officer to deliver the day-to-day running of the CBSO’s choral programme for children and young people, including the running of the weekly rehearsals for these choruses, supporting the chorus music staff, managing annual auditions, undertaking concert duties as required and ensuring that both choruses are performing at the highest level at all times.

The CBSO’s choral programme is a core element of the organisation’s strategic and artistic vision and consists of three world-class auditioned symphony choruses. The CBSO Chorus, CBSO Youth Chorus & CBSO Children’s Chorus offer opportunities to perform with the CBSO and other internationally-acclaimed orchestras in Birmingham’s Symphony Hall, as well as in other high-profile venues throughout the UK and beyond.

There will be a regular requirement for attendance rehearsals and concerts during the evening and at weekends; this role may also involve some UK and international travel
