A New Year update from the CBSO
We are missing all of our audiences and supporters, and are very sorry not to be able to announce any further concerts just yet. A huge thank you for all of your support and patience over the last year as we have navigated our way through the pandemic so far. As always, the safety and wellbeing of our audiences, supporters, musicians and staff remains our top priority, and we hope that you are all keeping well.
Towards the latter part of 2020 we had been able to film socially-distanced orchestral concerts on a weekly basis at Symphony Hall without an audience and there are still three digital concerts currently on sale. We hope that these will keep you going, whilst we cannot invite you to attend in person.
We have taken the decision not to continue with further filmed full-orchestral performances this month in order to follow the government's stay at home message and reduce the potential risks associated with the gathering of large numbers. We will continue to review this decision alongside local infection rates and the latest government guidance. We had also planned to re-start activity in schools and in-person choral rehearsals from this month, but sadly this is now on hold - weekly rehearsals with all of our choirs will continue on Zoom.
We hope to be able to continue with some small-scale digital activity either from home or from CBSO Centre, and will update you when we have further information.
In the meantime, please enjoy our available digital concerts, Stay Tuned page and videos on our YouTube channel, from the comfort of your own home.
Wishing you a heartfelt happy and safe New Year from the whole CBSO family.

Rob Roy was an outlaw – and when Hector Berlioz tells his tale in music, you can feel every ounce of drama, adrenalin and (of course) romance.
