"The CBSO is in terrific shape... and we can reach even greater heights"
As the CBSO prepares to enter another jam-packed concert season, our newly-appointed Chair of the CBSO Board of Trustees prefaces our just-published 2017-18 Report and Accounts with his comments on CBSO life so far...

"I have been delighted to learn more about all the wonderful things the Orchestra does in the area of orchestral concerts and in its choral and education work. Personal highlights so far have included joining the Orchestra on its April tour in Heidelberg (where two sold-out concerts brought home to me just how high the CBSO’s international reputation is, especially with Mirga in charge), Mirga’s superb performance of Fauré’s Requiem and music by Lili Boulanger with our wonderful choruses, Debussy’s Pelléas et Mélisande in concert, and a hugely enjoyable Best of Bollywood night with a brilliant and energetic team of singers and dancers from this region.
The CBSO is already in terrific shape: and over the next few years I am confident that we can reach even greater heights!"
