CBSO Centre Welcomes Royal Patron

Chief Executive Stephen Maddock and Chair Bridget Blow welcomed His Royal Highness Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex to our rehearsal and administrative base CBSO Centre on Berkley Street this afternoon.

Visit from His Royal Highness Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.

The Earl of Wessex, along with a number of dignitaries and invited guests, watched a performance of Ralph Vaughan Williams' Phantasy Quintet by CBSO musicians Emily Davis, Jane Wright, Chris Yates, Catherine Bower and Eduardo Vassallo, as well as receiving an exclusive whistle-stop tour of our soon to-be-announced 2016-17 concert season. There was also a special video message from our Osborn Music Director Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla for His Royal Highness, followed by a meet-and-greet with the musicians and guests.

Prince Edward is the CBSO's Royal Patron, and last visited us in 2014, to mark the re-opening of CBSO Centre following its £1.8m refurbishment.
