Last Friday the CBSO performed in Birmingham New Street station with BBC Singers and the CBSO Chorus as part of BBC Music Day. We're delighted so many people stopped by to enjoy the orchestra performing live.
Wonderful to see and hear @TheCBSO@CBSOChorus at @NetworkRailBHM tonight for #BBCMusicDay - Please come again. Next time, can you timetable the Handel to run ahead of the 1912 to Plymouth, or ask @CrossCountryUK for a hold? #Hallelujah 👍🏻 👌🏻 pic.twitter.com/zoRGkrmqWK— Family ByCycle (@FamilyByCycle) September 28, 2018
They were playing Prokoviev’s Montagues and Capulets when I arrived to catch my train. Magnificent and a lovely way of ending my commuting week. Almost considered missing my train and catching a later one.— Trevor Knight (@TrevKnight) September 28, 2018
One of the best orchestras in the world doing its bit to bring music to all. Amazing stuff. Music reaches and unites; this would have made people’s day and inspired people to listen to more classical music or play/sing more. Bravo to @TheCBSO. We need more of this nationally. 👏 https://t.co/gLu8U1XQTK— Alex Aitken (@AlexAitken91) September 29, 2018
