On Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 July, the CBSO took part in a very special event presented by Royal Sutton Coldfield Town Council; heading outside to Sutton Park to share a collection of some the finest tunes ever written for orchestra. Featuring everything from Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance, to movie scores, and musical theatre favourites (performed by the brilliant tenor Noah Stewart), and beasts, bugs and creepy crawlies in the form of our Notelets mini-concerts - there was definitely something for everyone!
We have been absolutely delighted with the responses from audiences & critics, and have shared some of our favourites here:
Loved the dulcet tones of Noah Stewart on Saturday?
He'll return to the CBSO on Friday 9 February 2018 for our Opera Gala concert - glorious tunes, unbeatable voices, and endless emotion: don’t forget to bring a hanky!
Stephen Bell – Conductor
Natalya Romaniw – Soprano
Madeleine Shaw – Mezzo Soprano
Noah Stewart – Tenor
Simon Thorpe – Bass
