Philip Brett
Assistant Leader
Born in Wellington, New Zealand in 1989, Philip started playing the violin at the age of 5. He studied with Zakhar Bron at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste and Igor Petrushevski at the Royal Academy of Music. Philip won 3rd prize at the Aram Khachaturian International Violin Competition in 2010 and was awarded the Beare’s Prize on graduation from the RAM in 2011. He is an avid chamber musician working with ensembles across the UK.
