2018-19 Season Only
Mystery Seats are the CBSO’s new discounted ticket option for the 2018-19 season, giving you the chance to book for selected performances for just £13. By booking a Mystery Seat, you will be guaranteed entry to the concert of your choice, but you won’t know where you are sitting until the day of the performance. Your ticket will be worth at least £19.50, but you might get lucky with a top-price ticket! Mystery Seats can be booked online, by phone or in person and are limited to two tickets per person per concert. We cannot guarantee that two tickets purchased at the same time will be seated together. Once purchased, a Mystery Seat order confirmation will be sent, but does not allow admittance to the concert – you must exchange this for a valid ticket at the box office on the day of the performance. Please allow sufficient time before the start of the concert to do this. Mystery Seats are limited and subject to availability.
Tickets for benefit recipients
If you receive income support, job seeker’s allowance, pension credit and disability tax credit (or their future equivalents), you can buy one ticket per performance from £6 one month before the concert. Proof of eligibility required, to be presented when collecting your ticket. We reserve the right to allocate tickets in certain areas of the hall and withdraw this discount on well-sold concerts.
2017-18 Season Only
If you’re on a budget and don’t mind a seat in a less favourable seat (eg restricted view), there are a number of budget seats priced £13 for many of our concerts. They are at the back of the Grand Tier and Upper Circle, in the Stalls Terrace and at the very front of the Stalls when a stage extension is not in use.
2017-18 Season Only
Patrons aged 60+ receive a 10% discount off one ticket (Symphony Hall/Town Hall concerts only). Birmingham City Council’s ‘Passport to Leisure’ holders receive a 10% discount off one ticket at Symphony Hall and Town Hall concerts, and £1 off a full-price ticket at CBSO Centre.
T&Cs apply: Available in person or by phone from 1pm on the day of evening performances and 10am for matinée concerts (Symphony Hall & Town Hall concerts), and from CBSO Centre 1 hour before CBSO Centre performances. Standby tickets subject to availability and issued on production of valid ID. We reserve the right to allocate tickets in certain areas and withdraw standby offers on well-sold concerts.
*The THSH per ticket commission (£2.50 online / £3 for telephone and in person transactions) will apply for tickets priced over £12.50. Plus £1.50 will be added if you would like your tickets sent to you.
