Do you love singing? Do you want to have fun singing with other people in a choir? Then come and join our Junior Children’s Chorus!

Open to all children in school years 3-5, there is no need to audition or be able to read music!

About Us
The Junior Children’s Chorus are led Ula Weber, an inspirational and highly experienced choral conductor, and they meet weekly on a Monday from 4.30pm – 5.30pm during term time at the CBSO Centre.

Through their rehearsals members will develop as musicians and singers, learning a broad range of music and songs, and performing to a high standard. In addition, all members of the choir will have the opportunity to participate in free online music theory lessons, to help them develop their ability to read and understand musical notation.

The Junior Children’s Chorus will work regularly with the world-renowned City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in the iconic Symphony Hall, and a highlight of every year will be our annual Christmas Concerts.

The CBSO Junior Children’s Chorus provides a fantastic musical education, with opportunities to meet other young musicians from across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands and sing to a really high level. Parents and children are supported by a professional chorus management team and music staff who provide a supportive environment for young singers to develop and flourish.

How to Join
The CBSO Junior Children's Chorus is unauditioned, so if your child is interested in joining from September 2021 please complete an application form and a member of the CBSO’s Chorus team will be in touch.

There is an annual membership fee of £80.00. To ensure that any child who wishes to join the Junior Children’s Chorus has the opportunity, regardless of financial background, the CBSO can provide financial assistance and full bursaries for members if required.
