A night at the movies with the incomparable Quincy Jones.

Sit back and just breathe in some of the best film soundtracks ever written: a celebration of the phenomenal creative mind of Quincy Jones. Conductor and arranger Jules Buckley described Jones as a ‘guru’, adding that ‘there’s no-one that comes close…in terms of being a conductor, composer, arranger, producer, mentor, philanthropist’. Jones’ scores for film and television are as original and versatile as the man himself: from the spirituals in The Color Purple, to bossa nova jazz in The Deadly Affair, to the iconic flower power vibe of Austin Powers. No slouch at versatility himself, Jules Buckley leads the CBSO in a night to remember.
