CBSO Community Board and the Bangladeshi Arts Development Agency (BADA) present Bringing the Light: A Concert of Hope.

Join us for an evening of music and spoken word, celebrating a series of musical collaborations that span a delightful combination of cultures and genres.

Led by double bassist Daphna Sadeh Neu, the Let It Out Eastern Strings Quartet are joined in this performance by Birmingham-based Poet Kohinoor Yasmin, bansuri player Dr. Ali Shair and an ensemble of CBSO string players.

This concert will feature a selection of music from diverse traditions, alongside original compositions and arrangements by Daphna Sadeh Neu and Knud Stüwe. Drawing inspiration from Jewish and Middle Eastern musical traditions, the compositions and traditional pieces will explore a rich tapestry of sounds and influences, creating a distinctive musical journey that bridges cultures.
