CBSO in the City

About our events
Get ready, Birmingham - CBSO in the City is back!
Last year, CBSO in the City brought free live music to thousands of people - and we can't wait to do the same this summer!
Join us as we pop up in unexpected spaces right across Birmingham - from canal boats to gardens, train stations to museums - we'll be filling the city with great music.
From Star Wars and Brahms in New Street Station, to brass quartets among the blooms at Birmingham’s Botanical Gardens, a space-themed family adventure in Birmingham Library, string quartets at the Ikon Gallery, and even a clarinet trio riding the West Midlands Metro!
We're inviting you to find your CBSO this summer.
All performances are completely free and unticketed* - just turn up and enjoy orchestral music that's right up your street!
We’re hugely grateful for the generous support provided by John Osborn CBE and NBB Law which has helped to make these events possible.
*Please note, select performances are free with admission. This includes the Black Country Living Museum, Birmingham Botanical Gardens and Royal Birmingham Society of Artists.
