Job Description

The CBSO is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have proven success in a similar role and be able to work on their own initiative and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.

Key responsibilities

  • Processing invoices, matching purchase orders, GRNs and dealing with supplier queries.
  • Ensuring invoices are fully authorised and correctly coded.
  • Process petty cash claim and reconcile monthly.
  • Ensuring VAT is correctly claimed.
  • Supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Producing regular payment runs and weekly payment forecasts.
  • Oversee daily cash flow forecast and prepare monthly cash flow.
  • Weekly Bank Reconciliation.
  • Month-end ledger reconciliations.
  • Group credit card processing.
  • Complete quarterly FET returns.
  • Assist with month end processes, prepayment, accruals and other journals.
  • To manage the fixed asset registers.
  • Supporting the Finance Manager at month end and responding to audit queries.
  • Assist and provide cover for the Assistant Accountant in busy/holiday periods.
