The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra is delighted to announce the renewal of its partnership with NBB Law (formerly known as Nicholls Brimble Bhol Solicitors) for a fifth consecutive year.

Over the past four years, NBB Law has not only provided financial backing to the orchestra but has extended gift in kind support to the CBSO's Legacy Programme. This year's partnership marks a new and exciting chapter as NBB Law shifts its focus to supporting CBSO in the City, a free week-long festival in Birmingham (26th August to 1st September 2024). As a local Birmingham based law firm, this partnership continues to demonstrate NBB Law’s commitment to invest in and engage with its local communities.

The CBSO’s mission is to reach new audiences across the West Midlands and develop deeper and more meaningful connections with the city it calls home. CBSO in the City will present the huge breadth of the orchestra’s music-making, from the greatest orchestral masterpieces to fun-filled interactive concerts for all the family, as well as performances for those living with dementia alongside their carers, family and friends. Events range from Beethoven and Star Wars in the Bullring and brass quintets in Birmingham’s Botanical Gardens, to dinosaur themed family shows in libraries, string quartets in pubs, a day of open rehearsals at the CBSO Centre, and live music from Kazuki Yamada on the West Midlands Metro.

Emma Stenning, Chief Executive of the CBSO, said: “CBSO in the City is all about taking music out of the concert hall and bringing live music directly to the people of Birmingham and the wider West Midlands, making it accessible to all. With NBB Law's continued partnership, we can bring these extraordinary experiences to the public for free. We look forward to a week filled with joy, music, and community spirit."

Rob Bhol, Managing Partner at NBB Law, said: "We are absolutely delighted to renew our partnership for a fifth consecutive year with CBSO. They are truly world-class and, on our doorstep. CBSO performances enrich the lives of so many around the world and in the City of Birmingham, and to be involved in the festival of CBSO in the City is a true privilege.”
