Kuldip Ubhi
CBSO Community BoardKuldip Singh Ubhi is the UK president of the Namdhari Sikh Community. He has been actively involved in community development for over 30 years, leading local projects as well as International Aid work. Kuldip strives to lives his Sikh values of equality, humanity, and service for others through his community work, and has a strong interest in youth development as a means to develop and sustain a more compassionate world.
His commitment to community extends interfaith and social justice initiatives. Kuldip played a pivotal role in the start up of Telford Interfaith, a collaborative initiative that brings together people from all faiths to work together to resolve social issues in the area. He initiated Nanak Bank, engaging youth in planning and delivering meals to homeless people across the Midlands. He is keen to develop the next generation of community leaders, through mentorship he offers support, guidance and practical advice to help their initiatives thrive.
Kuldip was awarded The Ambassador of Peace Award in 2009 and held many senior positions in multifaith organisations in the midlands. He been a Board Member of the Standing Advisory Council on Religious Education in Birmingham & Sandwell and a trustee for the Hindu education forum.
