Liz Frostick is a trustee of the CBSO Development Trust and an experienced fundraising and development professional with a distinguished career in the heritage, cultural and charitable sectors. After 8 years as Development Director at Birmingham Botanical Gardens, she now works as an independent fundraising consultant, supporting organisations to strengthen their core purpose and philanthropic income, develop effective fundraising strategies and build meaningful relationships with donors and stakeholders.
Liz's background spans fundraising, museums, science and education. She studied History at the University of Cambridge, holds a postgraduate qualification in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester, and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising. Throughout her career, she has shaped cultural and heritage organisations with multi-million strategic capital development, making compelling cases for support and establishing sustainable sources of income to achieve their long-term ambitions.
As a member of the CBSO Development Trust, Liz brings extensive expertise in fundraising, charitable operations, donor engagement and strategic development. Her knowledge and experience support the Trust's work to secure philanthropic investment and strengthen the resources needed to sustain the CBSO's artistic excellence, learning programmes and community impact in Birmingham and beyond.
