Family Concert: Tunes & Tales

Magical stories from stage and screen!

A feast of story-telling in a CBSO movie night! Tales from fairy stories, classic novels and modern fables are given a gloriously cinematic treatment. Two takes on Romeo and Juliet mingle with the cast of the Jungle Book, Ravel’s Mother Goose and the demonically helpful Sorcerer’s Apprentice. And we celebrate three heroines of literature: Snow White, Jane Austen’s Emma and the telekinetic Matilda. Plus, join us for an hour of free craft activities before the concert!

Suitable for children aged 6+. All Family Concerts are British Sign Language interpreted.

'Mood markers' have been carefully assigned to each concert by CBSO Music Director Kazuki Yamada, visiting soloists and conductors, orchestra members and audiences.
