CBSO Youth Chorus

Photograph of teenage girls singing in the CBSO Youth Chorus

The CBSO Youth Chorus provides a fantastic opportunity for young singers in school years 9 to 13 to work with a leading professional orchestra, world-class conductors and perform in one of the best concert halls in the world, Birmingham’s Symphony Hall.

Led by Chorus Conductor Julian Wilkins, the Youth Chorus is an auditioned choir for upper voices. They rehearse weekly during term time on Monday evenings from 7pm–9pm at CBSO Centre.

As well as taking part in amazing performances, members of the CBSO Youth Chorus have the opportunity to attend weekly music theory classes, have one-to-one vocal coaching sessions, go on summer residentials and make incredible friends.
