Begin the evening with a performance by the terrific CBSO Children's Chorus and Youth Chorus in the Jennifer Blackwell Performance Space ahead of an evening of Tchaikovsky and Shostakovich, featuring prolific violinist James Ehnes.

This programme features a performance of Richard Rodney Bennett’s The Aviary by the CBSO Children's Chorus, followed by Imogen Holst's Welcome Joy and Welcome Sorrow, performed by the CBSO Youth Chorus.
