Bring the CBSO to your own school!
You don’t have to wait until our annual Schools Concerts; you can also have a performance in your school from one of our brilliant small ensembles. These concerts can be accessed by a specific year group or by the whole school and provide a fabulous introduction to live performance by some of the world’s best musicians.
The cost of an ensemble visit starts from £550* and includes:
- Either an hour-long performance for your whole school or 2 45-minute performances for different key stage groups
- A mixture of classical and familiar repertoire
- An interactive and participatory experience

We have a variety of ensembles on offer with performances specifically designed for school audiences. Performances last for approximately 1 hour for the whole school (or we can provide 2 x 45-minute performances for different Key Stage groups) and must take place in your school hall.
Performances include a mixture of classical repertoire along with more familiar pieces from film and TV. As well as introducing students to the individual instruments, musicians will provide background information about pieces and composers, and offer an interactive and participatory experience.
