CBSO Centre
CBSO Centre
Our home, the CBSO Centre doubles as the administrative and rehearsal base for the CBSO, as well as being an adaptable performance space.
The CBSO Centre is in every respect the CBSO’s home – acting as both a performance and rehearsal space for the Orchestra and Choruses, and as offices for the administrative staff. It also serves as a base for the internationally renowned Birmingham Contemporary Music Group (BCMG) and Ex Cathedra.
At the heart of the building is The Justham Auditorium – a three-storey, 300-seat rehearsal and concert venue. The auditorium is fully equipped with modern sound, lighting and projection systems, as well as a system of motorized acoustic panels and banners. It is most often used as our main rehearsal venue, as well as the auditorium for Notelets and Centre Stage Concerts throughout the season.
