The worlds of orchestral music and sport collide in an evening celebrating this year's spectacular summer of sport!

If you're a sports fan, you’ll be sure to recognise the UEFA Champions League Anthem and the Olympic Fanfare, alongside classics like the William Tell Overture and the Great Escape Theme. And you won't be able to stop yourself from joining in with the CBSO's renditions of Sweet Caroline and You'll Never Walk Alone, or being moved to tears by World Cup themes like the iconic Nessun Dorma - performed by "The Worcester Pavarotti", Luke Swatman.

As always, there’ll be mouth-watering street food from Hockley’s vendors - this time it's Hawker Dan (the street food business of former Masterchef the Professionals champion, Dan Lee), authentic Caribbean food from Leave it to Esmie and cooked to order fried chicken strips with dips from Feed - and a well-stocked bar. Plus, local DJ Nina Mckendrick will be performing between sets to keep the mood going.

Doors open at 6pm with bar service and hot food available (last orders for hot food by 7.45pm). Live music from 8pm.

For their coverage of the 1990 World Cup, producers at the BBC chose a recording of Luciano Pavarotti singing “Nessun Dorma” to soundtrack the credits - apparently, a producer had the idea after he saw an image of Italian footballer Marco Tardelli celebrating a goal at the 1982 World Cup!
